Folk Tales on Abbey 104
Presented By Terry Bennett
Geranium Trust Chairman Terence Palfrey, a.k.a Paul Peters is, amongst many other things, a British local radio presenter. During a career spanning almost 59 years, he has hosted programmes on a wide variety of stations across the United Kingdom and further afield. With his late partner, Geoff Kemp, Paul created the formats for his well known regular programmes: The Fabulous Fifties Radio Show, The Pirate Years, The Swinging Sixties and Late Night in the Attic.
During the summer of 2017, Paul was approached by Terry Bennett, a fellow presenter on Sherborne's local radio station, Abbey 104. He was invited to take part in 'Folk Tales', a local equivalent of the long-running BBC radio programme Desert Island Discs. Paul readily agreed and the first programme was recorded during July of that year. But one hour simply wasn't enough (!) So 3 subsequent programmes followed over the next few months, culminating in the final episode on Christmas Eve 2017.
